Great news for homeowners, SEAI grants for solar PV have been updated, making it even more affordable to go solar in Ireland.
The SEAI Solar Electricity Grant is the domestic scheme, paid to you after your system is installed and commissioned. We complete the application on your behalf.
How the amount is worked out. ā¬700 per kWp for the first 2 kWp, then ā¬200 for each additional kWp, up to a maximum of ā¬1,800 at 4 kWp and above. That maximum has been unchanged since 2024, so treat any installer advertising a higher figure with caution.
Who qualifies. Your home must have been built and occupied before 2021, and the work must be carried out by an installer on the SEAI register. We are on it.
Commercial and agricultural solar are funded through separate schemes on different terms, and the agricultural route is generally the better rate of the two.
