Kildare is about forty to fifty minutes from our Deansgrange base and it is one of the more varied counties we cover, because a Kildare job can be anything from a three-bed in a commuter estate to a farm shed.
On the domestic side, the commuter belt around Naas, Newbridge, Celbridge, Leixlip and Maynooth is largely post-2000 estate housing. That is good ground for solar: modern trusses, simple roof shapes, generous unshaded area, and few of the conservation restrictions that complicate a coastal Dublin install. Systems here are often a little larger than the Dublin average for the same household, simply because the roof allows it.
The other half of Kildare is agricultural and light industrial, and it works differently. A shed or yard roof carries far more area than a house, and the case rests on daytime consumption rather than export: milking, refrigeration, workshop machinery and pumps all run when the sun is up, which is exactly when the panels produce. Farm and business schemes are also funded separately from the domestic SEAI grant, and the agricultural route is generally the better rate of the two.
We size around your actual consumption rather than selling a fixed package, so the first thing we ask for is a year of bills, not a roof measurement.
