Dense estate housing, mostly compact semi-detached and terraced homes with smaller individual roof planes. Systems are usually 8 to 12 panels rather than the 14 or 16 that a large detached house takes. That does not weaken the case: smaller systems cost less, the SEAI grant covers proportionally more of the bill, and payback is often shorter than on a big install.

Terraced rows also mean shared scaffolding considerations, so neighbouring installs are worth coordinating where possible.
